INA-Lunchbreak on supply chain due diligence act part 25
In our next INA Lunchbreak we will deal with the topic of „Lessons-learnt one year after the German Supply Chain Act (LkSG) came into force".
We are delighted to welcome Jana Sievers from the Helpdesk of Business & Human Rights to the Lunchbreak. The Helpdesk is a free support service offered by the German government that advises companies of all sizes on the implementation of human rights due diligence obligations. Based on her experience in advising companies in the field of agricultural supply chains, Jana Sievers will present impacts and trends on companies since the LkSG came into force, with a special focus on cooperation between actors along the supply chains. She will also present specific advice and support services for companies.
Philippa Smith from Symrise, who as Sustainability Director is responsible for the Fragrances division, will also report on key Lessons Learnt in the implementation of corporate due diligence obligations. Symrise AG is a German supplier of fragrances and flavourings, cosmetic active ingredients, and raw materials, as well as functional ingredients. In her presentation, Philippa Smith will report on experiences from a project in Egypt, which was supported by the INA Due Diligence Fund (DDF) and implemented together with the Union for Ethical Biotrade (UEBT). Its aim is to promote responsible sourcing practices in natural fragrance supply chains.
The one-hour online meeting takes place on the first Friday of the month.
The date is Friday, 02.02.2024, from 12.00–1.00pm CET.
The event will be held in English.
