From the fields into the cup: How does a sustainable coffee supply chain look like?

The introduction of a supply chain act is on the political agenda at both German and European level. The debates usually focus on its content and scope. Less discussed is how such a law can be implemented. Therefore, this will be the main focus of the online dialogue of FSS, GRAS System, 4C Services, Welthungerhilfe, FSS and Tchibo. Specific approaches from coffee supply chains are presented in four keynotes: Protection of the human right to food, certification, use of remote sensing for the documentation of coffee sites, and empowerment and sector approaches. In the subsequent dialogue, the opportunities and challenges of implementing responsibility for environmental standards and human rights will be discussed with the participants.
