Global Forum for Food and Agriculture

The Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) will take place from 24-28 January 2022. The international conference is organised by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) in cooperation with the Senate of Berlin, Messe Berlin GmbH and GFFA Berlin e.V..

GFFA 2022 is entitled "Sustainable land use: Food Security Starts with Soil". The event takes place annually and offers participants from politics, business and civil society the opportunity to discuss and agree on issues and challenges of global agricultural policy and food security.

The central questions addressed by the forum are:

How can we improve soil protection?
How can we restore degraded soils?
How can we make the use of finite land resources more sustainable?
How can farmers worldwide get fair access to land?

This year's event will also take place virtually due to the pandemic.
