Webinar "Sustainable Supply Chains and Human Rights Due Diligence - Civil Society Expectations of the German EU-Presidency"

Brot für die Welt, the CorA Network for Corporate Responsibility, the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation, Germanwatch, INKOTA Network and MISEREOR are organizing the web discussion "Sustainable supply chains and human rights due diligence - civil society expectations of the German EU Council Presidency" on May 28, 2020 from 1pm to 3pm

Against the background of the forthcoming German EU Council Presidency and the fact that the Covid-19 pandemic once again demonstrates that purchasing practices and supply chains must be made sustainable and stable so that people are socially secure and their rights protected even in times of crisis, the following questions will be discussed:

- Will the issue of business and human rights remain in the focus of the German Presidency's updated programme?

- How can regulation of corporate due diligence obligations be designed at EU level?

- And what further measures should an EU action plan for business and human rights contain?
