Webinar: Supply Chain Act. Perspectives from the Global South

What do partners in the global South think about the Supply Chain Act? Inkota, FIAN, Germanwatch, SÜDWIND and Femnet are organizing a web seminar on this topic on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 from 15.00pm to 16:30pm. Various questions will be discussed with organizations from Bangladesh and the DR Congo: What hopes do they place in legal regulations in the global North? From their perspective, what would a supply chain law actually change – and what would not? What risks and possible negative effects do they see? And what else must change to end the power imbalance in global supply chains?
Panelists:
- Kalpona Akter (Managing Director, Bangladesh Center for Worker Solidarity, BCWS)
- Jacques Nzumbu Mwanga (mining expert at the Centre Arrupe pour la Recherche et la Formation, DR Congo)
Moderation: Gertrud Falk (FIAN) & Johannes Schorling (INKOTA)
Note: The web seminar will be held in English.
Registration via this registration form is required.
