A buyers' trip of the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Southern Africa (AHK Southern Africa) from 15th to 19th June, 2020 takes place in a digital format..

All interested buyers and traders from Germany and other European countries can get in touch with Namibian traders during an online conference day on 15 June. From 16th to 19th June, 2020 companies will have the opportunity to exchange information online in business-to-business meetings.

The event is supported by the Global Business Network (GBN) in Namibia. The GBN programme is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in close cooperation with the Network of Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs).

One of the overarching objectives of GIZ is to involve micro, small and medium-sized enterprises more closely in the local value-added process, while at the same time establishing production methods that conserve the country's natural resources.

The value chains in the focus of the digital matchmaking event are cosmetics, fish, game meat and other game products.

The AHK will take care of the entire preparation, implementation, monitoring and the necessary de-briefing.
