Online seminar: Due Diligence Act – What does it mean for companies?

In the online seminar, the Agency for Economic & Development with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) provides information on the specific requirements of the Due Diligence Act. Among others, Anosha Wahidi, Head of Division at BMZ, will give a presentation on facts and background information on the current draft law.

In addition to national regulation, information will be provided on international developments in supply chain regulation. In addition, application examples for anchoring human rights due diligence along the supply and value chain will be presented.

About the Due Diligence Act

On February 12, 2021, the German government agreed on mandatory regulation to respect human rights due diligence. The law is to take effect from 2023. It applies to German companies with more than 3,000 employees. From 2024, it will also apply to companies with more than 1000 employees.
