Online-Event: UN Food Systems Summit 2021 - Finance Public Forum

The event is dedicated to sustainable food systems and how financial incentives can be created to make them more attractive.

The World Bank, the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), and The Food and Land Use Coalition invite to a discussion on financing sustainable food systems as part of the United Nation Food Systems Summit 2021.

Food systems are a critical enabler of a healthy planet and play a particularly important role in climate action and public health.
According to UNFSS, financial incentives have so far been placed in the wrong places, contributing to unsustainable food systems. Investments in the right places can change this and promote sustainable practices - such as providing knowledge and technology to smallholder farmers.
The event summarizes recent progress from the summit. To do so, it invites its participants to discuss the development of financing mechanisms to promote a more equitable food system.

When?
15 July 2021, 14:30 - 16:30 CEST.
