Online event: Sustainable procurement in the agriculture and -food industry

The event addresses the increasing influence of sustainability in procurement in the agricultural and food industry. In particular, the interaction of procurement practices and environmental as well as social aspects plays a role.

Current discussions about legal framework conditions such as the Due Diligence Act are putting even more focus on corporate responsibility and transparency within supply chains. In cooperation with the Business Scouts for Development program of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH as well as the Bavarian and Northwest German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHK), the seminar will present options to optimize risk management in procurement from developing and emerging countries.

A series of keynote presentations will present opportunities for using sustainability standards in risk management. In addition, the potential of traceability within the supply chain will be discussed, including the digital traceability tool INA-Trace.
