Webinar: Crop diversification in India's organic cotton sector
In a webinar the Organic Cotton Accelerator (OCA) will present the results of a research project on cropping diversification in the Indian organic cotton sector. Crop diversification practices and their agronomic, environmental, and economic benefits to farmers are examined.
The research project was carried out with the Research Institute of Agriculture (FiBL) and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH. The aim is to promote biodiversity and improve farmers' livelihoods through crop diversification. The most important results and recommendations will now be presented.
About the research project:
Research was conducted in particular on increasing agronomic, environmental, and economic benefits for Indian farmers using participatory methods. In addition, the project shows ways to scale up using appropriate crop diversification practices.
