Children's rights and corporate due diligence
A law on the protection of human rights in supply chains from a children's rights perspective
Human Rights Watch, Kindernothilfe, Plan International, Save the Children, terre des hommes, UNICEF and World Vision will publish and explain a joint position paper on the Supply Chain Act in a virtual event on 1 October from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Entrepreneurial action has an impact on the entire spectrum of children's rights as defined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. In this context, not only the much-noticed issue of child labour is an important challenge in global operations and supply chains. The organisers would like to show how the legal situation of children can be affected and how entrepreneurial diligence, ensured by a supply chain law, can make a decisive contribution to improvement.
