INA Lunchbreak on supply chain due diligence act part 31
Dear friends of the Initiative for Sustainable Agricultural Supply Chains (INA),
We are pleased to invite you to the 31st INA Lunchbreak on 6 September 2024 from 12:00 to 13:00 CET. The event will focus on the implementation of the feminist development policy, which the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) has been proclaiming and promoting since the change of government in 2021. In this lunchbreak, we would like to give the word to the people who are putting the BMZ strategy into practice.
Under the title ‘Feminist & Fair: The Future of Agricultural Supply Chains’ you will gain insights into the project implementation of GrowHer: Cocoa. The majority of Indonesian cocoa is produced by smallholder farmers. Almost a third of them are women, who are often marginalised and discriminated against. The project addresses the three pillars (resources, representation and rights) of the feminist development policy and aims to use innovative approaches to improve the living conditions of women in the cocoa supply chain and to change existing power structures sustainably and for the long run.
The project is implemented by a consortium consisting of Grow Asia Partnership, Save the Children, Partnership for Indonesia's Sustainable Agriculture and Mars. Find out how the project partners are pooling their individual strengths to work together to make global agricultural supply chains inclusive, fair and equal.
You will find the access link in the calendar entry, which you can download after registration.
And this is what awaits you on Friday, 6 September 2024, from 12:00-13:00:

In our series of events, we will show you that implementing due diligence is feasible for everyone. With our expertise, we want to actively support you in the implementation. On the one hand, we will present various practice-oriented tools and guidelines with a focus on the agricultural and food sector. On the other hand, we keep an eye on ongoing EU legislative processes and international discussions for you. It is also indispensable to take the perspective of the people and companies in the partner countries. We want to include them through our cooperation on the ground. "From the legal code to the Agricultural Supply Chain" is a regular format offered online as a digital Lunchbreak on the first Friday of every month.
