06. May 2022

In the next edition of INA Lunchbreak, we will introduce you to the Due Diligence Fund (DDF), which officially launches on this day with a Call for Proposals. The DDF was created in the context of the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) as part of the Initiative for Sustainable Agricultural Supply Chains (INA).

The Due Diligence Fund addresses companies in the German agricultural and food sector and their suppliers. Through the fund, companies, together with non-profit partners, can apply for funding for projects to ensure corporate due diligence in global supply chains. The aim of the DDF is to identify promising practical approaches to corporate due diligence, to support them financially and then to make them publicly available. In this way, companies are supported in establishing and continuously implementing due diligence processes in accordance with the LkSG.

We also want to pay special attention to promoting the use of such tools, which have been presented in the previous INA Lunchbreak event series. The DDF is not only a measure to strengthen sustainability in supply chains, but to enable mutual learning and establish best practices.

In the event, we will explain how and when you can participate in the competition and what kind of projects are considered particularly worthy of support.

As usual, the one-hour online meeting will take place on the first Friday of the month. Only the time has been moved back by one hour for this event.

The date is 06.05.2022 from 13:00 to 14:00.

Representatives of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Initiative for Sustainable Agricultural Supply Chains (INA) will speak, as well as representatives of the DDF jury.

Moderation: Christian Thorun, ConPolicy

The event is aimed at interested stakeholders from the private sector, civil society and politics.
