ICOLS in Albania presents new developments in the field of agriculture and provides a platform for exchange for stakeholders from science and practice.

The conference is organized by the Agricultural University of Tirana (Albania) and the University of Molise (Italy) in collaboration with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (Germany) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Albania.

The ICOLS aims to provide an opportunity to strengthen the agricultural sector in view of upcoming challenges - such as climate change and biodiversity loss - and to jointly find solutions.

During the event, Pascal Ripplinger (INA) will give a virtual talk on the following topics:

  • INATrace - Open Source Traceability System for agricultural commodities.
  • Remote sensing based forest monitoring for deforestation-free supply chains
